Background
As a young girl, Noire lived in the Moraby Drydocks with her (frequently absent) father - a pirate by trade. Noire was comfortable living alone from a young age, but found herself orphaned and homeless at 9 years old when her father went on a voyage and never returned. After the funds she had been left ran out, Noire lived on the streets until she was found by a Maelstrom soldier, Steinar. Steinar took her to Limsa Lominsa and adopted her with his wife, Unsynwyda.Under the guidance of her adoptive parents, Noire began a more formal education and took a great interest in magic. Through Unsynwyda’s connections to the arcanist’s guild, Noire began studying arcanima early in her teens. As a determined and passionate student, Noire excelled in her studies of magicks and when she turned of age, she joined the adventurer’s guild and the ranks of the Maelstrom, set on using her talents to help others.A skilled warrior and tactician, Noire rose within the ranks of the Maelstrom. Satisfying as serving the people was, her father's adventurous spirit lived on within her, and she craved a life of greater freedom and adventure than the military offered. Still allied with the Maelstrom, she became a free-roaming adventurer.Eventually, Noire created her own Free Company to give a home to fellow free-spirited adventurers. As the leader of a company of heroes, Noire took on the responsibility of being a provider and jack of all trades, dabbling in various forms of combat, crafting, and gathering. She takes her role very seriously, and always leads with a smile on her face, determined to guide fresh adventurers down a path of strength and righteousness. When she is not aiding her company, she can often be found looking for new books to read, tending to her garden, or relaxing at venues across Eorzea and Doma.
